Hazardous Buildings repaired at La Salle Campus 2

Urgent repairs completed

La Salle High School, Campus 2 Faisalabad has 302 primary school students and 174 High School Students in the school who will be direct beneficiaries of this important project.

The old building, specifically the first floor of the Primary section required maintenance. The Primary and High School Section of the building had exterior windows and sunshades that were severely deteriorated and broken. The concrete around these sunshades had become detached from the rusted steel rods, causing large pieces to fall off. The concern was some of these chunks of concrete would fall onto path below, where students often walk between classes.  This area, which is under the window sunshades had become increasingly unsafe. Another area which required repairs was, the building’s roof beams which had large cracks, causing significant damage to the walls, paint, and other parts of the building.

The maintenance work was completed over a few months, beginning in July and completed in early November.  Br Samuel Tabish, Principal reported all maintenance and repair work, followed the correct safety precautions when managing the project and the total cost of the project remained within set budget guidelines.

Dear Br. Adrian, La Salle Catholic College Bankstown, St. Bede’s College Mentone and the Lasallian Foundation,

On behalf of the students, entire teaching staff and Principal, I would like to express our sincere gratitude for your generous support in the repairs and maintenance of the Primary Section building. Your commitment to improving our school environment is truly commendable and has made a meaningful impact on both our students and staff.
The completed maintenance work has provided us with newly constructed cemented window sunshades, inverted load-bearing beams, and a reinforced stair cover. Most importantly, it has created a safer and more secure environment for the students who use the areas beneath the new structures. We are deeply thankful to the Lasallian Foundation for helping us ensure a safe and supportive atmosphere for all.
Your contribution has greatly enhanced the overall learning environment, and we are sincerely appreciative of your continued partnership in this important endeavour.
Thank you once again for your generosity and unwavering support.

Warm regards,

Mr. Shakeel
Vice Principal of La Salle High School Campus 2 – Faisalabad
