430 Students will enjoy upgraded computers
The Technology Upgrade Project at La Salle Boys’ High School in Khushpur, Pakistan, supported by the Lasallian Foundation Australia, was implemented to modernise the school’s digital infrastructure and support its ~430 students.
Located in Khushpur, a vulnerable community known as the “Rome of Pakistan” due to the largest Catholic population in Pakistan. The school serves students who face significant economic pressures and risks of early child labor. By equipping the school with functional computers, administrative tools, and printed learning resources, the project helps provide quality education, practical digital skills, and a path out of generational poverty. The total cost of the project was $8,500 AUD. Kindly donated by the community of St Michael’s College Adelaide.
Project Deliverables & Actions Taken

Computer Lab Upgrade: Rather than purchasing traditional desktop systems, 11 refurbished All-in-One systems were sourced and installed to optimize budget efficiency and lab functionality. Additionally, new computer tables were purchased and existing ones were repaired to set up the lab.

Administrative Hardware: A new laptop was provided for the admin office to support school management.

Printing & Scanning Capabilities: A 3-in-1 printer was purchased for general school and administrative use.

Reproduction Equipment: A sturdy refurbished photocopier was installed specifically to handle the high-volume printing of examination papers, notes, and learning materials for students.
