St Solomon’s receives new outdoor seating & furniture

Br Waseem, Principal of St Solomon wrote to the Lasallian Foundation

The request for this project is made to provide basic needs of furniture to students and teachers of St Solomon School and seating outside the classroom for students and parents. Since the school is growing rapidly and it is now up to the ‘Elementary Level’ and the number of the students is increasing the school requires equipment to maintain this growth. Therefore, the efforts are to provide the basic educational resources to the students. With this not only students of the school will benefit, but also its teachers.

The total amount requested is AUD$ 6,634

The Lasallian Foundation is pleased to report the above request was delivered to the school and local tradesman were employed to assist with the construction of the new outdoor seating. Furniture for crowded classrooms and extra seating for the staffroom  was also purchased. The outdoor benches and seating were placed under the shade of large tress to provide relief from the harsh summer climate, where temperatures are regularly around 45 degrees Celsius. The seating will be enjoyed by both students during lunch and recess, while parents who wait to collect their children will also now have a place to sit. This project was completed in 2 months and will provide hundreds of students, staff and parents with basic comforts now and in years to come.
